 Southwest (Bluewing Chesapeakes) breeder of Chesapeake Bay retrievers for hunting show or as family dogs. 
While these dogs are loyal and keen hunting dogs who work well in extreme conditions, they are social animals, if hunting is not your taste I am just as happy to see my pups go to a good home and family. Pups from previous litters have become pets, disability support dogs, psychological support dogs and working dogs. 
Known for their loyalty Chesapeakes are a dog that will form a bond with you forever. 
Southwest Chesapeakes have been DNA tested, hip and eye scored and are in good physical health with no Genetic abnormalities. DNA profiles are available on request. 
There are no long hair genes, and the line has low shedding gene meaning, no constant dog hair in  your house. 
While often mistaken for labs they are not. Chesapeake is a more athletic dog, tolerates cold temperatures and highly intelligent.
