I breed purebred Maremma sheepdog puppies from companion family pets that have free access to inside and outside at all times. They are not just a breed for livestock, although that's what everyone will tell you. If in the right environment they will exceed your expectations. I went into breeding this way, to try and make them known for more than what they are known for. my parents and puppies are brought up around 5+ children on the spectrum and mental illness like PTSD, ANXIETY, ADHD AND MORE, plus 3 cats. We are their job, we are their life we are their caring and loving family who have seen how much a Maremma has to offer as a companion family member. In saying that, they can still be brought from us for protection of your livestock, as it is their bloodline and when put with your farm family from 8weeks of age they will also exceed your expectations there too. If you have a home that has no job for them then this breed is not for you. They are not a dog that is to just be left outside on its own especially a suburban home as a guard dog. They are not that, as there is no flock or family for them to take care of.
