I would like to say since I required A puppy I have been taking my pup to Dog Park in Essex street
to give my pup a chance to be a dog and play with other dogs and of course make friends with people

Its a great park for dogs and owners a like

I would like to ask is there a rule or for dog walkers and dog owners as I have noticed that particular walkers with X number of dogs do not pick after the dogs they take for walks which could be 5 to 6 dogs at a time that makes a lot of poop laying about.
I always pick up after my dog as unplesant as it may be.
is it because it is worded PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG as it is not their dog they are excempt?

Please add that the reserve is fully fenced, has a water fountain and bag dispensers.

Gets a bit muddy when wet – otherwise quite a good dog park that enjoy taking my dog to.

Yeah, I’ve noticed quite a bit of poop not picked up which is a bit of a shame…

This dog park is just down the street from me. My dog gets soooo excited whilst walking there! She loves the dog smells, or as a friend calls it “reading the paper” to check whose been there. Yes it does get muddy in winter, and the council have tried to rectify this but to no avail. Bonus that it’s fenced, has unique doggy fountain for those that like running water, and plenty of doggie bags. A down side is it gets hectic, and if some dogs aren’t socialised correctly they become over excited which can quickly turn to aggression. Also some people bring a ball and try to throw it and this isn’t the place for this. A dog park of this nature should be as calm as possible so dogs can interact without undue stress. Owners whO frequent this park should be highly trained on dog etiquette. That is, if Your dog gets Agro or misbehaves take it home. Also not the place for ‘intact’ dogs. Can’t stand my dog being humped when they do not want too! Overall great park. At last the council has recognised the need for dog parks! Am at dog park now and nearly every single time I come there are never any children playing on the equipment. They are all at high point! I say – more dog parks they definately get used. As for kids playground equipment? Iam not so sure

Quite barron and dusty. It is fenced which is a bonus but is quite small.
