This land was once the depot at Peakhurst where they buried the nightsoil before the area was connected to the sewerage system. It is now the picturesque, 5.5 hectare public park fronting Forest Road and Isaac Street and reaching down to Lime Kiln Bay.
Dogs are not permitted on the sporting fields at the north of the park. The ‘lower’ part of Gannons Park (toward the creek) is the off-lead area. This map of the area from Hurstville City Council provides further detail.
For additional information please visit the Hurstville City Council website.
Note: While Doggo aims to provide the most up-to-date information, councils and/or park authorities may change their regulations regarding dog exercise areas at any time. We suggest checking with the relevant park management for the latest information.
