Not as impressed as I would like to be. Not terribly big. No trees. Just a couple of concrete tunnels. Big, fenced square. One nice feature was a smaller fenced area behind the building designated for little dogs only that actually had a couple of trees in it. Not highly recommended but would do in a pinch. People aren’t very good about cleaning up their dog’s mess either.

Good feedback above and very fair, I’ve lived on Kalina ave Para Vista, the very same as Golding Oval dog park is on for neary 10 years. I can count on two hands how many times I’ve taken my dogs inside the fenced area. Most locals take their dogs up to the main oval because the fenced area is so unapealling. The only way to get anything done is to tell the Salisbury City Council your thoughts. The space is there, as are the responsible pet owners but we are put off by design and condition of the park. Perhaps if more people shared their feedback to: http://www.salisbury.sa.gov.au/Services/Compliments_Comments_and_Complaints
the council might prioritise using some of our rates money to rethink the design, clean up the surrounding area and even add some new structures, perhaps a bbq.
As far as people picking up after their dogs, well we can only hope that people change their ways. It’s amazing how people act like sheep and if they see a couple poo’s on the ground they will not clean up after their own dogs. Yet take them to a pristine park in Golden Grove with no poo’s and watch them catching out the their dog’s arse.. It’s not WHERE you live people it’s HOW you like. Show some respect for yourselves, your pets and your suburb and you might find we will all benefit.
