Been here a few times with my girl Bonnie. Nice big park but lacks bush area and trees, not much shade also. Good for the dog to run around and get it’s energy out.

This park was great until my dogs got out! The gates are not reliable. They don’t shut propaly. The council needs to fix it. Its such a great area for my dogs to run and run and socialize with other dogs. However after they escaped I can’t trust going there again. Please someone fix the gates!

Used to be a nice dog park where dogs of all sizes got along but I won’t be going back there again. My elderly dog (giant breed) was playing with about 2-3 other dogs when a vicious little black dog (dressed in a strange coat) rang up to him and started biting his mouth and trying to hang off his jowls. I then saw the little dog’s owners an Asian man and woman in their 30s viciously kick my dog more than 10 times. I ran up and asked why he did that and he said apparently my 14 year old elderly dog had severely injured his nasty little thing. I could see no blood or any other injury on his dog (was still running around and nipping at everything) and asked him to wait for the dog ranger to arrive. He then cowardly walked off. I have since spoken to other dog owners at the park who told me that the man had attacked their dogs by kicking it for apparently attacking his as well. The only trend I see is that all of our dogs are considerably bigger than his.

I am beyond livid. If anyone can identify this couple please let me know.

My dog now has fractured ribs and a bruised lung. This vicious and cowardly attack happened on the evening of Sunday the 30th of September.

I’ve been here a few times. It’s a nice large area but lacks shade. Who cares about that though if you’re running around sniffing and chasing balls and saying hello to other dogs. Speaking of other dogs, on the several occasions I’ve been her there has ben a nice mix of sizes, and unlike the poor ‘disappointed’ fella above, there has only been well socialised woofers.

There are plenty of seats for the humans but they are all exposed to full sun.

The gates are a bit of a worry. I’m a good girl, but Harry was able to get under the gate nearest to Isabella Street because the gap is massive.

For us this is a park we go too when we’re passing, it’s not a destination.

Overall this parks gets a 2 out of 5 from us.

I bring my dog almost every weekend, I recommend this dog park for all shapes, sizes and ages. All the dogs are well behaved and it is such a big park that your dog can play. There are chairs and two taps and a lot of parking.

My family loves coming to this park, great big open flat space. We go almost everyday. We’ve also made friends with other fellow doggies and dog owners.

Unfortunately, there’s now a group of regular soccer players there every Tuesday taking up much space as there’s about 25-30 of them each time!!

Complaints has been put through to Parramatta Council but they’re still coming, not sure if the rangers haven’t actually come to investigate or miss them when they do come out.

Majority of us are very angry about this matter and is now putting together a petition to ban sports game being played there. Will post links here as soon as its done.

They are only playing there because of the free lighting provided by the bootcamp and dog agility groups.

I just can’t understand so many areas out there for people do their exercises why there is a boot camp in the only dog park area in parramatta.
There is 2 more parks just acrros the road plus a small area enough for the boot camp in the same size of the park but he has to set up his equipment of personal training there. I just don’t get why there. If Parramatta didn’t have any space for fitness I would understand but the only off leash dog park in Parra. Frustrating.

Hey guys, can someone tell me if the issues with the gates and holes under the fence have been fixed? Would love to visit the park but not if there’s a chance my dog will escape!
