Hey great park but owners of small dogs BEWARE! My 7 month old Westie got under the fence on the canal, slid down the steep ramp and fell straight in the Cook river! I could not get over fence to get in river to get her. She swam and was able to scale the steep wall back up to the top! I could not get her under the fence again! I had visions

Why are they banning rescue greyhounds from this park? It’s absolutely ridiculous I have a rescue grey and she is the sweetest dog. They play well with my mums small poodles and 6 yr old son and have never even looked in the direction of our cat. A well trained dog is a well trained dog, no matter the breed. Owners of greyhounds will know if their dog is safe to allow it to be off leash with other dogs, the same as owners of other breeds would know. It is up to the owner to be a responsible person and ensure their dog does not cause grief to other dogs or people.
