I’ve just been to the Cadigal Reserve with my two dogs. I was left slightly torn about this park. It isn’t ugly, it’s actually a nice strip of land, but it’s very close to the rail track, so quite noisy. It is a sandy park, with grass and trees and no running water. It’s fully fenced, but smaller dogs need to be watched as they could get through the openings to the canal that crosses the park. In the half an hour I was there at around 6pm on a Friday, nobody else came in. I hope this helps.

Not only is it dangerous for the dogs as they can go into the canal and can run away, it is also dangerous for the general public as often there are strange people (drug addicts, thieves, graffitti aficionados) that hang out there because it is a hidden park. As there is barely anyone there it is very scary when you walk into the park and there is someone strange sitting on the floor at the end of the park, without the dog. Not a safe place for a mother with children and a pram to go to at all!!!! Would not recommend.

I went to this park over the weekend. I didn’t read comments about it on Doggo (mistake). Anyway, I agree with what the others have written, it’s a somewhat creepy park. I didn’t see any other person in there. But there is a cycle way running along near it which is used by regular commuters.
