Great dog park with a huge variety of dogs attending from small maltese terriers to rottweilers. friendly people and generally friendly dogs. as for your dog being burnt on a bbq don’t be concerned. this one was obviously off leash in the picnic / children’s play ground and NOT in the fenced dog park enclosure
Great park in general with fantastic kids areas and BBQs and a separate, fenced off-leash area. However I’ve found this park often has a lot of uncollected poo… so watch where you (and your dogs) walk. Working on the basis that I probably occassionally a miss a poo done by my dogs, so if I pick up those another owner has missed and they do the same… well all gets sorted out. So I always collect whatever I see in off-leash parks, near children’s play areas and sports fields. It’s not a very big park and one day I collected 18 poo’s in minutes, before giving up. Not nice. The council keeps the place pretty nice – dog owners need to take control of this one.
Please note: in my comments above the ‘poo’ is a problem in the off-leash fenced area only. Have used the wider park on many occassions and had no problems with it. Best kids activity areas ever.
Two aspects of poo problem:
(1) Most of the uncollected deposits are thanks to the paid dog-walkers who turn up at midday with a truckful of dogs and only stir themselves to photograph their many, many charges to prove they have provided exercise.
(2) Contractors do not empty containers as often as they are paid to.
